This Cookie Policy explains how simsim SARL ("simsim", "we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies in the simsim app and on our website at simsim.app. It works alongside our Privacy Policy.
simsim is a free directory with no accounts and no advertising, so we use very little here.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small data files a website stores in your browser. Apps use similar technologies — small amounts of data kept on your device. We use them to remember your preferences and to understand how the Service is used.
2. How we use them
2.1 On your device (the app)
The app stores your favourites, language, and settings on your device, so the directory works the way you left it. This stays on your device — it isn't sent to us.
2.2 Analytics and performance
We use Google Firebase / Analytics to understand, in anonymous and aggregate form, how the directory is used, so we can fix issues and improve it. It isn't linked to your identity, and there are no accounts to tie it to.
2.3 Security and anti-spam
On our website, Cloudflare Turnstile helps us tell people from bots (for example, on the waitlist form) to prevent spam and abuse.
2.4 What we don't use
We do not use advertising cookies, cross-app or cross-site tracking, or authentication cookies — the Service has no login.
3. Your choices
- App: clear stored data any time with "Clear local data" in Settings, or by uninstalling the app.
- Website: manage or block cookies in your browser settings.
- Device: manage permissions in your device's privacy settings.
