These Terms are a binding agreement between you and simsim SARL ("simsim", "we", "us", or "our"). They govern your use of the simsim app and our website at simsim.app (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

simsim is a free directory that helps people in Lebanon discover home and public services and contact providers directly.

1. What simsim is

simsim is a directory, not a marketplace. We help you find providers and reach them yourself — usually over WhatsApp or by phone. simsim does not take bookings, set prices, process payments, or carry out any service. We are not a party to any agreement, conversation, or transaction between you and a provider.

There are no accounts in the Service. You can browse, search, and save favourites without registering, and your favourites and preferences are stored on your device.

2. Who can use simsim

You may use the Service if you can form a binding agreement under Lebanese law. If you are under 18, use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in line with these Terms.

3. The listings

Listings are compiled and verified by our team from public information — they are not created by users. Each listing shows a badge and a "last verified" date:

• Listed — from public information, not yet confirmed with the provider.
• Verified — we contacted the provider and confirmed the basics.
• Pro — a verified provider with priority placement.

We work to keep listings accurate, but we don't guarantee that any detail (number, area, service, availability, or price) is correct or current. Verification is a basic check — it is not a background check, a licence check, or an endorsement, and we don't collect government IDs. Use your own judgement.

4. Dealing with providers

Any contact, agreement, price, scheduling, payment, and the work itself are solely between you and the provider. simsim does not employ, supervise, direct, recommend, or guarantee providers or their work, and is not responsible for it. Agree the price and details directly, before any work begins, and take normal precautions when dealing with someone you don't know.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• copy, scrape, harvest, or republish the directory or its listings;
• misuse, overload, disrupt, or attempt to reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the Service;
• use the Service to harass providers, send spam, or submit false reports or listings;
• use the Service unlawfully or to infringe anyone's rights;
• enter sensitive personal information into search (see our Privacy Policy).

6. AI search

Search uses AI to interpret your request and suggest relevant listings. It can be imperfect, and its results are suggestions, not advice. Don't rely on it for professional, legal, medical, financial, or safety decisions.

7. Reporting and moderation

You can report a listing from its profile. We review reports and may edit or remove listings, but we are not obliged to act on any particular report. We may add, change, or remove any listing or feature at any time.

8. For providers

If you ask to be listed or to update a listing, you confirm that the information you give is accurate and that you may be contacted on the number you provide. Being listed does not create any employment, agency, partnership, or joint venture with simsim. "Pro" placement is applied by our team; there is no purchase flow for it in the Service.

9. Intellectual property

The simsim name, logo, app, website, design, and the compiled directory belong to simsim SARL and are protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. Provider names, logos, and photos belong to their respective owners.

10. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties with their own terms, including WhatsApp, Google (Maps, Firebase, and the Gemini AI used for search), and Cloudflare. We are not responsible for those services or their content.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that listings are accurate, current, or complete, that providers are suitable, qualified, licensed, or safe, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Lebanese law, simsim SARL and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for any loss or damage arising from: your use of (or inability to use) the Service; your reliance on a listing or on AI search; or your dealings with any provider.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless simsim SARL from any claim, loss, or expense arising out of your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your dealings with any provider.

14. Changes

We may update the Service and these Terms as simsim evolves — for example, if we later add accounts, bookings, or payments. We will revise the date above when we make material changes, and your continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Suspension

We may limit, suspend, or end your access to the Service if you misuse it or breach these Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon, and the courts of Beirut have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under Lebanese law.

17. General

These Terms are the entire agreement between you and simsim regarding the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours to an affiliate or successor. We provide these Terms in Arabic and English; if there is any inconsistency between the two, the Arabic version prevails.
